How businesses are using AI every day.

The best way to understand AI is to see it doing real work. Not robots or sci-fi, just the everyday tasks that fill your week. We've split our use cases into two groups so you can find what's relevant quickly.

Personal use cases.

These are the things one person can do with AI straight away, with no setup beyond an account. Writing and replying to emails, summarising documents, preparing for meetings, researching a topic, planning your week or learning a new skill. If you're an owner wearing five hats, this is where you'll feel the difference first.

Company use cases.

These are bigger wins that involve your team, your systems and your processes. AI that drafts quotes from your price list, answers routine customer questions, prepares monthly reports or writes job ads in your company's voice. Company use cases need a bit more planning, a clear AI policy and often an integration or two. We've broken them down by department: sales and marketing, customer service, admin and finance, HR and operations.

By industry.

We also share examples for the industries we work with most across the Wellington region. That includes tradies in the Hutt Valley, professional services firms in the CBD, retailers and hospitality businesses along the Kāpiti Coast, and health practices from Porirua to Masterton.

Finding your quick wins.

The best starting points have a few things in common. They happen often, they follow a pattern and the result is easy to check. Think weekly reports, replies to common questions, quotes built from a standard price list or social posts about jobs you've just finished. A task you do once a year won't move the needle. A task you do twenty times a week will.

Questions to ask about any task.

  • How much time does it take each week, across the whole team?
  • Does it follow roughly the same steps every time?
  • Could someone check the result in a minute or two?
  • Does it involve personal or sensitive information?
  • Would anyone miss doing it by hand?

If most of your answers point the right way, and your AI policy covers the information involved, you've probably found a good use case.

From examples to habits.

Reading about use cases is the easy part. Making them stick is harder. In our coaching sessions we take your shortlist, build the prompts or assistants with you and test them on real work. Then we check back a few weeks later to see what's being used and what needs adjusting.

How to use these pages.

Read through the examples and note any task that sounds like your week. Those are your quick wins. If you'd like help putting them into practice, we can set them up with you and train your team to keep them running.
